This is an introductory course to sailing allowing you to feel confident in sailing a boat of about 20 to 30 feet in length in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters. A preparatory standard with no auxiliary power or navigation skills required. Includes Sailing Fundamentals textbook.

Duration: 12 Hours (over 2 or 3 days) - Select the date that you wish to start the course

The Marisa III is a 1974 30' Pearson fully rigged for cruising Casco Bay. She sleeps 5, has a galley with a 2 burner alcohol stove, head, radar, GPS, charts, inboard Westerbeke Diesel engine, roller furling, tiller controlled and a breeze to sail.

What to Bring: You should dress appropriate to the weather. Proper attire includes soft soled shoes.
(Tennis or deck shoes - no black soles) Sweater and or jacket, Sunglasses with safety strap. Hats and
gloves optional but recommended and Sunscreen. Foul weather gear is recommended for days that have a
30% or greater chance of rain. Snacks and drinks are permitted aboard but no glass containers please.
